SAD SONG by P1HARMONY

TRACKLIST:

  1. SAD SONG | 5 Stars

  2. It’s Alright | 4.5 Stars

  3. Last Call | 5 Stars

  4. Welcome To | 5 Stars

  5. All You | 4 Stars

  6. WASP | 4.5 Stars

This is 100% one of my new favourite albums, and at this point I just need to stan P1HARMONY because I have never disliked their music. This whole album just reminded me of everything I got into k-pop for, GOOD MUSIC! Honestly K-pop has been lacking so much for me lately generally speaking and I haven’t listened to something that’s an instant obsession (in a good way) in what feels like forever. Especially not a WHOLE album!

My jaw was DROPPED throughout the whole first listen of this album…and the second…and the third, and at this point my jaw lives on the floor, who needs one anyway.

AND THEN GUESS MY SHOCK WHEN I SAW THE CHOREOGRAPHY TO THIS?!?! Like this is the reason P1HARMONY is one of the BEST 4th gen groups even if they aren’t recognised much outside of their fandom (why on earth not? These guys are amazing) - Can you tell I’m a fan haha.

The vocals were so perfect in this album and I’m honestly not surprised because these guys have some of the most naturally angelic and unique voices I’ve heard. Not to mention their production and sound is such high quality and never boring to listen to. They also have songs that don’t skip second choruses or bridges, their songs are built on listening to them wholly as they are, as opposed to some other groups who prioritise the 30 second or less chorus for short form content benefit, and either drop other parts of the song or it’s just done very weakly which honestly ruins the whole thing for me.

BUT THEY DON’T DO THAT SO I’M SO HAPPY!!

Also we have our first unit song with WASP! I’m so excited by this and I hope in future albums we get to see the other units. This song was really heavily a Korean hip-hop/rap track and I’m in love with it because I do really love that specific genre.

FAVOURITE TRACKS

1 SAD SONG

2 Last Call

3 Welcome to

Out of all these outstanding songs these three are what caught my attention the most.

SAD SONG has some really interesting instrumentals to listen to and they really upped the whole experience, plus the vocals are so perfect and it’s just ideal title track material.

Last Call has such big boy band energy, especially reminiscent of One Direction. If you guys have ever read any of my other reviews I love songs that have a boy band vibe - even though I actually don’t really enjoy classic boy band songs much - my music taste is weird like I dunno what to tell you.

Welcome To is the best song on this album in my humble opinion. That’s why it’s in bold. In the words of my notebook that I wrote in while listening: “ - FAVOURITE SONG! - THE LYRICS - THE VIBES! - IMMACULATE!”.

This sums up my opinion on this song really.

I do just really wanna highlight the lyrics for this song though because it’s just really my favourite part - particularly the chorus, especially the way the members sing it, it just scratches the right part of my brain honestly.

RATING OF THIS ALBUM: 10/10 literally go listen, I’mma be listening to this on repeat for weeks.

Check out this playlist which is where I put my favourite songs from this year (I have not updated this in months so please excuse that):
