Ariana Grande is really going an excellent direction with her latest music in my humble opinion. Eternal Sunshine was one of my favourite albums from last year, and I still listen to it constantly - you can imagine my excitement when I found this album.
This album feels like dreamcore, as if sunshine was bottled and injected straight into the songs. Every song is beautifully unique and yet blends with each other in a way that just really hits. the. spot.
There have been a lot of conversations around Ariana Grande and her weight, especially since Wicked. I don't wish to speak to this, as I am not well educated about this topic. I would like to say that any one struggling with any sort of eating disorder deserves care and support to recover, including Ariana Grande if that is what she is struggling with. However I do not know and do not wish to add to the discourse and speculation, I just want to discuss her masterpiece of an album.

There is nothing I love more than when an album is extremely cohesive. Albums are truly great when they commit to a specific sound, or a vibe and everything works with each other. It always creates a very listenable album, something that's possible to listen to over and over again, when you want that vibe, and your able to enjoy it without being jolted out of the experience by a mismatched song.

This is the part where I share my favourite songs from the album but oh my godddddd, you have no idea how hard this is for me. I just truly adore every song on this album, it feels like picking a favourite child and I feel so bad. Regardless here are my favourite children I suppose.

I love love love this song. Did I mention that I love it? The stringy instrumental is beautiful, along with the drop of nearly everything but Ariana's voice with the chorus just fills my heart. I've seen some people say they interpret it as a letter to herself, and it's really lovely when you see it that way. This song makes me want to cry, and I think that's a pretty good sign it's a song I love. A gorgeous way to end such a perfect album, and I'll listen to the whole thing again just so I get to experience this song again.

Such a beautiful song. It's so hard to decide whether I love this song more than nowhere, nobody or not. I believe the only correct way to listen to this song is by listening how seamlessly it blends into the interlude that it basically feels like the same song. The lyrics are so well written, and Ariana's voice could ascend me genuinely. Below you can see my favourite lyrics from this song - I even included it in the email that I sent out to my blog subscribers (wink wink, you should become one too).
