Hello everyone,

Welcome to Album review Sunday. Each Sunday I review the albums that came out over the week and share my thoughts with you.

There weren't very many album releases since the last review, but the two albums that were released are great! But first off a bit of a disclaimer from me:

DISCLAIMER: I do not know that much about these artists as individuals and I do not personally know if they are bad people. I am reviewing JUST their music and what I think of their album. I do not necessarily support them. If you know something about an artist I have reviewed that you feel I should be aware of please feel free to contact me. I listen to all the music on headphones so I would recommend you to do the same. I do not listen to or rate explicit songs as I feel you can find everything needed in clean songs. All reviews are based off my first time listen and what I was thinking at the time, and I do not always know the story behind the song or the lyrics.

THE RATING SYSTEM: The overall album will be rated with a system of 0.5/10 being the worst I’ve ever heard and 10/10 being one of my favourite albums. The individual songs will be rated with a 0.5 stars being the worst and 5 stars being one of my favourites. I take into account beat, lyrics and whether it is something I would personally choose to listen to.

On to the albums!]

#2 Proxima by TAN RATING: 8/10

TRACK LIST

  1. VIOLET - Japanese Ver. 4.5 Stars

  2. Adorable 4.5 Stars

  3. 너란 별 (약속해요) (Sing with you) 3 Stars

  4. My Girl 3.5 Stars

  5. Starlight 〜君に届くまで...〜 5 Stars

Overview: Okay so I haven’t really heard much of TANs music, other than DU DU DU. I was pleasantly surprised by their vocals though. My favourite is definitely Starlight.

From what I can tell this has been called a “pre-debut” album so I think it’s a compilation of all their songs from before their debut.

That's what I’m guessing anyway.

If anyone knows more about this feel free to educate me as I’m guessing here. Anyway this was pretty good, and they have pretty vocals.

#1 20&2 - The 9th Album by TVXQ! RATING: 9.5/10

TRACK LIST

  1. Down 4 Stars

  2. Rebel 5 Stars

  3. Rodeo 3.5 Stars

  4. Jungle 5 Stars

  5. Life’s a Dance 4.5 Stars

  6. Fix It (Sung by U-KNOW) 5 Stars

  7. Take My Breath Away (Sung by MAX CHANGMIN) 3 Stars

  8. Promise 4 Stars

  9. The Way U Are - Unplugged Version 3.5 Stars

  10. Starlight 3.5 Stars

Overview: Wow, what a way to start the year. This was incredible. TVXQ! is a 20+ year old group, which for K-pop is “old” but they are still going strong. Back in 2008 they released a very popular song called MIROTIC, which you may have heard if you’re into K-pop.

I actually really love seeing K-pop being performed by older groups, they just bring so much experience to the performance. SHINee is another one of my favourites too.

I absolutely love this album so much. Each song is so different from the next in the best way possible. I could watch them perform for hours honestly.

FAVE SONG: So hard to pick honestly. I love Fix It, Rebel, and Jungle, but I couldn't pick between those.

LEAST FAVE: Take My Breath Away. It’s gorgeous, yes, but I’m not a big fan of the lyrics. But his voice is really great though so I feel like I’m going to listen anyway.

Overall despite there being very few albums since the last post these were amazing albums. Quality over quantity as they say. Feel free to send me any recommendations.

Have a day!
