Hello everyone,

Welcome to Album review Sunday. Each Sunday I review the albums that came out over the week and share my thoughts with you.

There were a lot of releases this week that I’m excited to share, but first off a bit of a disclaimer from me:

DISCLAIMER: I do not know that much about these artists as individuals and I do not personally know if they are bad people. I am reviewing JUST their music and what I think of their album. I do not necessarily support them. If you know something about an artist I have reviewed that you feel I should be aware of please feel free to contact me. I listen to all the music on headphones so I would recommend you to do the same. I do not listen to or rate explicit songs as I feel you can find everything needed in clean songs. All reviews are based off my first time listen and what I was thinking at the time, and I do not always know the story behind the song or the lyrics.

THE RATING SYSTEM: The overall album will be rated with a system of 0.5/10 being the worst I’ve ever heard and 10/10 being one of my favourite albums. The individual songs will be rated with a 0.5 stars being the worst and 5 stars being one of my favourites. I take into account beat, lyrics and whether it is something I would personally choose to listen to.

On to the albums!

#4 3rd MINI 'Heart Flower' By Boramiyu RATING: 6/10

TRACKLIST

  1. With You 4 Stars

  2. Gonna be love 4.5 Stars

  3. Heart Flower 4 Stars

  4. PUBAO 4 Stars

  5. To Me 4 Stars

Overall thoughts: Boramiyu's voice is so pretty, and is so nice to listen to. Unfortunately I couldn't find English translations of these songs so my ratings are based purely off how they sound.

Aside from that I enjoyed this album. It was super pretty and I felt like I should be strolling through some picturesque park while flowers are blooming and petals are falling while I reminisce on life. I know that's a super specific mental image but that's what I was thinking of while listening.

#3 PLEASURES By CNBLUE RATING: 8/10

TRACKLIST

  1. Intro 3.5 Stars

  2. Synchronise 5 Stars

  3. LET IT SHINE 4 Stars

  4. Phantom Love 4 Stars

  5. Magic 4 Stars

  6. Dance Dance Dance 4.5 Stars

  7. What do you feel 4.5 Stars

  8. ZOOM 4 Stars

  9. Clap Your Hands 4 stars

  10. MOON 5 Stars

Overall thoughts: This was a nice album. Again I had some trouble finding some English translations so not all ratings are including lyrics.

Regardless I enjoyed this album. My favourite would be "Synchronise" but I also liked "What do you feel" as well as "MOON".

Overall this was a nice well rounded album that actually felt like a full album. A nice change from all the mini albums being brought out that only have 4-5 songs on.

#2 ARCADE : O By GHOST9 RATING: 8/10

TRACKLIST

  1. Let's Get Lost 4 Stars

  2. RUCKUS 5 Stars

  3. B.O.M.C. (Bang On My Chest) 5 Stars

  4. Rolling Stones 4 Stars

  5. Love Parachute 4 Stars

  6. Bookmark 4.5 Stars

Overall thoughts: This was a great album. The vocals were great to listen to. Honestly I'm surprised GHOST9 isn't more popular.

I hope RUCKUS gets all the love it deserves as a title track because this was actually really good. Great choreography not to mention a really great looking M/V with a storyline (which I can assure you, I did not follow, because I can't follow anything lol), that was clearly very interesting. Well you can see it for yourself. I can't stop listening to it because just everything is so good about the song.

Well let me stop raving on and on about how much I enjoyed RUCKUS. I'm literally listening to it now.

I also loved that they ended the album on slower songs which I always like when an album builds up to one epic track then slowly comes down after.

#1 SEVENTEEN 11th MINI ALBUM 'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN' By SEVENTEEN RATING: 10/10

TRACKLIST

  1. SOS 5 Stars

  2. God Of Music 5 Stars

  3. Diamond Days 5 Stars

  4. Back 2 Back 5 Stars

  5. Monster 5 Stars

  6. Yawn 5 Stars

  7. Headliner 4.5 Stars

  8. God Of Music (Instrumental) N/A

Overall thoughts: How can an album be so amazing??? Just song after song was awesome. I was just in shock after listening. I couldn't believe how I was just giving every song 5 stars and I felt like I was being silly but these songs were just genuinely that good.

The VOCALS in this album were incredible. Let me list out some key points for me:

- DK's "SOS" last chorus line was awesome. He needs to sing in a rock style song because it would just sound so good.

- "Diamond Day's" glitch effect was so unexpected in the chorus but it worked so well. And I loved Woozi's and Vernon's voices with it.

- The emotion when "Yawn" was sung was beautiful. I'm not joking I even started feeling emotional when listening which happens super rarely so that was strange for me and well done to them.

- Hoshi's voice in "Back 2 Back" also sounded amazing.

Also the Halloween vibes from "Monster" is so perfectly timed for Halloween so I now have a new spooky bop for this Halloween. And their title track "God Of Music" was also awesome as expected.

Honestly I've always thought SEVENTEEN's music is amazing and this is no exception. So happy to see they are still releasing incredible music.

MY FAVE SONG: All of them????

MY LEAST FAVE: I'll pick Headliner simply because it's much more romance based than the rest but for a romance song it was actually still pretty good.

P.s the snail listening to the music at the end is adorable. I love snails.

And that's all for this week. Hope you all enjoy the music. As usual any recommendations feel free to comment or message me in anyway. All my contact info is on the page where it says "About & Contact".

Have a day!
