Hello everyone,

Welcome to Album review Sunday. Each Sunday I review the albums that came out over the week and share my thoughts with you.

There were a lot of releases this week that I’m excited to share, but first off a bit of a disclaimer from me:

DISCLAIMER: I do not know that much about these artists as individuals and I do not personally know if they are bad people. I am reviewing JUST their music and what I think of their album. I do not necessarily support them. If you know something about an artist I have reviewed that you feel I should be aware of please feel free to contact me. I listen to all the music on headphones so I would recommend you to do the same. I do not listen to or rate explicit songs as I feel you can find everything needed in clean songs. All reviews are based off my first time listen and what I was thinking at the time, and I do not always know the story behind the song or the lyrics.

THE RATING SYSTEM: The overall album will be rated with a system of 0.5/10 being the worst I’ve ever heard and 10/10 being one of my favourite albums. The individual songs will be rated with a 0.5 stars being the worst and 5 stars being one of my favourites. I take into account beat, lyrics and whether it is something I would personally choose to listen to.

On to the albums!

#6 wonderego By Crush RATING: 7/10

  10. Bad Habits (Feat. LeeHi) 3.5 Stars

  11. Ego 4 Stars

  12. Ego’s Theme - Interlude 2.5 Stars

  13. A Man Like Me 3 Stars

  14. Monday Blues 4.5 Stars

  15. You 2.5 Stars

  16. SHE 4 Stars

  17. Harness 2.5 Stars

  18. For Days to Come 4.5 Stars

  19. Remember Me 3 Stars

Overview: This was a really good album. I mean I am beyond thrilled that for once an album is actually an album. Like yes, 19 songs is a solid album. Like so happy there’s that many songs. I did generally rate these songs lower because I didn’t overly love the lyrics but I did really like the music when you ignore that. These songs also really sound like a 70’s or 80’s R&B album which I loved. Overall this was a great album.

#5 NOBODY By JEON SOYEON ((G)I-DLE), WINTER (aespa), LIZ (IVE) RATING: 8/10

TRACK LIST

  1. NOBODY 4.5 Stars

Overview: This is actually really good. As someone who listens to (G)I-DLE, IVE, and aespa this was beyond exciting to see these girls collaborating on a song. I gave it a lower “album” rating due to this being only a single and I didn’t love the lyrics but this was still really good. And I’ve always loved SOYEON’s voice and it sounds so good in this song. I really want more collabs like this from completely different groups. It’s so rare but it’s always amazing.

#4 Chill Kill - The 3rd Album By Red Velvet RATING: 8/10

TRACKLIST

  1. Chill Kill 3.5 Stars

  2. Knock Knock (Who’s There?) 4 Stars

  3. Underwater 3 Stars

  4. Will I Ever See You Again? 4.5 Stars

  5. Nightmare 4 stars

  6. Iced Coffee 4 Stars

  7. One Kiss 4.5 Stars

  8. Bulldozer 5 Stars

  9. Wings 4.5 Stars

  10. Scenery 3.5 Stars

Overview: I didn’t love this album very much, and I feel like it could have been a bit better. However I also feel that these songs might not sound great at first but once you listen to them for a bit they are good. Some songs I’ve given low ratings to before, once I’ve kept listening to them they are really good, and you just kind of start loving them after a while. So I expect that is what will happen with these.

Also, even the second listen to “chill kill” when watching the music video made me like it more because from such a bright sounding song (trust me the title is very unexpected when you hear the chorus) you would not expect such a dark music video, like woah. There is such a storyline there too.

#3 EMBERS By EASTSHINE RATING: 9/10

TRACK LIST

  1. Double Down 4.5 Stars

  2. No Matter What I Do 4.5 Stars

  3. Cloud 4 Stars

  4. SHOW TIME 4.5 Stars

  5. Double Down - Instrumental

Overview: Unfortunately due to this being a debut album from a small company I couldn’t find translations for anything other than the title track “Double Down”. But regardless I did love these songs. I thought they were really good for a debut. I would listen to these a lot. All these lesser known boy groups keep bringing out music I really like (GHOST9, WHIB, XODIAC, EPEX, etc.). Overall I recommend it.

#2 ODD HOUR By NTX RATING: 9/10

TRACK LIST

  1. New Slay 4.5 Stars

  2. Holy Grail 4.5 Stars

  3. Drop That 4.5 Stars

  4. Just Friend 4.5 Stars

  5. Subway 4 Stars

  6. Movement 4 Stars

  7. FREE DAY 4.5 Stars

  8. Switch 4.5 Stars

  9. Memories 4.5 Stars

  10. Scream 4 Stars

  11. Deep 4 Stars

  12. Monopolize EXPLICIT

  13. Moon’s diary 4 Stars

  14. Forever now 4 Stars

Overview: Unfortunately again I cannot find translations because they are a lesser known group so a 4.5 rating is essentially 5 Stars but because I don’t know what they are saying I can’t give it a 5 star rating. If you find translations feel free to share and I’ll update my ratings.

But regardless of this these are really good, something about the lesser known boy groups is just exactly what I love. What can I say? I love “noise” music, some people hate it, but I really enjoy listening to it.

Also people this week are releasing proper length albums which is so nice.

#1 ORANGE BLOOD By ENHYPEN RATING: 9.5/10

TRACK LIST

  1. Mortal 4.5 Stars

  2. Sweet Venom 4.5 Stars

  3. Still Monster 4.5 Stars

  4. Blind 4.5 Stars

  5. Orange Flower (You Complete Me) 4.5 Stars

  6. Sweet Venom (English Ver.) 4.5 Stars

  7. Sweet Venom (feat. Bella Poarch) 4.5 Stars

Overview: Okay I’ve literally only given this a lower rating because the lyrics are a bit romance based but like I love these so much. It is so good. I was beyond excited when I heard ENHYPEN was having a comeback and they didn’t disappoint because every song on this album is so good. Like it’s a happy vibe as well which is nice. SO catchy too. Just overall a masterpiece on an album, which I love. Also I love that all the songs are tied to the supernatural/vampire concept that their group has.

And this music video is an absolute masterpiece. How would you even begin to edit and make something like that? I don’t know but it looks amazing.

And that concludes this weeks releases. As usual please send me any music reccomendations or releases you're excited for, from any genre-I love listening to everything!

Have a day,

Proffessor Nutkins

And here have a dancing ENHYPEN since they did release this week.
