ENGLISH ALBUM OF 2023 3rd PLACE

DUAL is the second full-length album by the Korean indie band, The Rose. Released on the 22nd of September 2023, they continue the emotional and vulnerable journey shown in their previous album “HEAL”.

This is a gorgeous album, every single song is incredible. The lyrics in this album are really beautiful. This album is such a journey to listen to because every song feels like it flows into the other.

Beginning with an instrumental “Dawn” that is super calming then flowing into the next song. Then halfway through giving us another instrumental “Dusk”, I love it when albums give us interludes halfway through it always kinds of refreshes your listening.

My personal favourite from this album would be the track “Alive”, I first listened to it when it was pre-released before the album and I had that on repeat for weeks because I just love the song so much.

Not to mention The Rose’s vocal are beautiful with each voice complimenting each other wonderfully.

This is why I think DUAL deserved a spot in the English Album Of 2023 Category.
