BEST FEMALE K-POP SOLO RELEASE OF 2023 WINNER!

I Love My Body is a single released by MAMAMOO member HWASA on the 6th of September 2023.

In an interview with Jeff Benjamin here is how she described the songs meaning:

"I say that I love my body, but, in fact, what the message is is just that I love myself so much. I chose this song because even though the title is primarily one-dimensional, it talks about loving my whole body, my soul, and my everything. It’s really about the self-esteem inside of my body."

While the message is beautiful, if I'm completely honest I didn't actually really like the song on a first listen, and it took quite a bit to grow on me. However this is one of those songs that once it grows on you, there is no way to stop singing it in your head constantly because it's so catchy.

Her past releases such as "Maria" may be more enjoyable but we aren't comparing everything she ever released to this song though. Out of all the female solo artists this year I really think this song is the best, and that is the fact it had a meaningful message, compared to many others that may just talk about a breakup or such, which while that is a message to give, not many people are sending this same message as Hwa Sa.
