BEST FEMALE K-POP SOLO RELEASE OF 2023 2nd PLACE

ME is the first solo release from BLACKPINK member JISOO, and was released on the 31st of March 2023. It consists of the two songs "FLOWER" and "All Eyes On Me".

If you are into K-pop there is no way you haven't heard of JISOO, and especially her hit song "FLOWER", and you've probably seen the viral dance move with the hands. If you haven't seen it I recommend checking out the music video that is linked below.

I really enjoyed this song when it came out and it was stuck in my head for a long time. I also like that it also incorporated those traditional sounds into the song, which I have mentioned before I really like listening to.

"FLOWER" feels like a very elegant song as well, which I think really suits Jisoo's voice and is very nice to listen to. The choreography did get some hate for being "simple", and while it wasn't the most difficult dance this year, it still managed to fit the song really well, especially where the hands represent a flower blooming, much like the song discusses.

And this isn't just a single, while "FLOWER" gets a lot of attention there is a second song called "All Eyes On Me" which I also enjoyed listening to.

Overall a very good release and it reached my expectations for the final BLACKPINK member's solo debut!
