Hi everyone,
Welcome to today’s post. Today I review 2 anime’s I have watched recently: Howls Moving Castle and Spirited Away. If you haven’t seen these anime’s the reviews won’t make much sense. And if you haven’t seen them, I would recommend you watch them. This is part 1 of reviews, I will be reviewing 2 other anime’s in part 2!
Howl’s Moving Castle:
This was a good anime and I enjoyed it, but I don’t think I would put it as my favorite. I don’t think they really explained what on earth Howl was very much. Like an angel, demon, something in between, just a casual wizard who randomly turns into a bird?
Also did the curse on Sophie break? Like is she young again? Or is she still old? Like what happened? Because she kept going between young and old and maybe I just wasn’t paying much attention, or I fell asleep during that part because I really didn’t understand that.
But regardless of this I did enjoy this movie. The moving castle was pretty awesome. Also, the scarecrow guy was pretty funny. I preferred him as a scarecrow though rather than the random prince dude.
So overall I’ll give this an 8 out of 10. The confusing and unanswered questions lowered the score for me
Spirited Away:
I have heard a lot about this anime, and I’ve seen No Face in a lot of stores. Like statues or figures not actual No Face, so naturally I was curious who they were and why they were so popular, so I found out they were from spirited away and thought I’d watch it.
Anyway, I had pretty high hopes and I wasn’t disappointed. This movie earned the title of the official title of the first Anime movie I have ever watched. I’d watched some anime shows before, but this was the first movie. I wanted to pick something iconic rather than something random. I can see why a lot of people like this movie and I kind of feel sorry for No Face. He just wanted a friend. I am still not entirely sure what he was, but I don’t know what a lot of those things in the show were.
The last thing I have it say is that the giant baby was incredibly creepy.
I have to give this one a 10 out of 10. 100% worth the watch!
Stay tuned for part 2 where I review My Neighbour Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service!
Have a day!

I was also confused with the same things with Howl’s Moving Castle when I watched it. Also not my favorite. Spirited Away was also the first anime I watched! How‘d you watch the animes? I had a customer give me a My Neighbor Totoro pin for Christmas and I wanted to watch it. Looking forward to Part 2
