Hello everyone,
Welcome to Album review Sunday. Each Sunday I review the albums that came out over the week and share my thoughts with you.
There were a lot of K-pop releases this week so I’m very excited to share, but first off a bit of a disclaimer from me:
DISCLAIMER: I do not know that much about these artists as individuals and I do not personally know if they are bad people. I am reviewing JUST their music and what I think of their album. I do not necessarily support them. If you know something about an artist I have reviewed that you feel I should be aware of please feel free to contact me. I listen to all the music on headphones so I would recommend you to do the same. I do not listen to or rate explicit songs as I feel you can find everything needed in clean songs. All reviews are based off my first time listen and what I was thinking at the time, and I do not always know the story behind the song or the lyrics.
THE RATING SYSTEM: The overall album will be rated with a system of 0.5/10 being the worst I’ve ever heard and 10/10 being one of my favourite albums. The individual songs will be rated with a 0.5 stars being the worst and 5 stars being one of my favourites. I take into account beat, lyrics and whether it is something I would personally choose to listen to.
On to the albums!
HEAT by (G)I-DLE RATING: 7/10
TRACK LIST
I Do EXPLICIT
I Want That 4 Stars
Eyes Roll EXPLICIT
Flip It 4 Stars
Tall Trees 4.5 Stars
Overall Thoughts: I am SUCH a big (G)I-DLE fan so when I tell you I was excited for this, I was excited for this.
Honestly it’s not the best I’ve ever heard from (G)I-DLE (TOMBOY, HANN, Queen Card, and Oh My God were like really good), but these are okay.
They’ve done better in my opinion but I can still totally vibe to these songs.
Also like this M/V is just insane story wise. I feel like I just watched a movie.
Fact Check The 5th Album by NCT 127 RATING: 8.5/10
TRACK LIST
Fact Check 4.5 Stars
Space 4.5 Stars
Parade 4.5 Stars
Angel Eyes 5 Stars
Yacht 4 Stars
Je Ne Sais Quoi 5 Stars
Love is a Beauty 4 Stars
Misty 3.5 Stars
Real Life 3.5 Stars
Overall Thoughts: This was a good album. I really enjoyed listening to it.
The mix of slower ballad like songs with the faster songs made it interesting rather than it all just sounding the same.
And vocals is this album were chefs kiss.
Here is my favourite track, Angel Eyes. I do not like the lyrics of this song a whole lot but I really liked it because to me it gave off massive 90’s Boy band/High School Musical vibes which I must admit I listened to a lot of that when I was younger. The amount of times I’ve seen High School Musical is just silly really.
EPEX 6th EP Album Prelude Of Anxiety Chapter 2: Can We Surrender? By EPEX RATING: 10/10
TRACK LIST
Surrender 5 Stars
FULL METAL JACKET 5 Stars
Hit The Wall 5 Stars
No Roof 5 Stars
Overall Thoughts: Okay just wow. Like wow. This was absolutely amazing. How on earth have I not listened to EPEX before???? This is incredible.
The voices and sound to this Mini Album was amazing to listen to. A guitars with a rock vibe are so uncommon in K-pop (unless you’re an ENHYPHEN fan), which really makes this album sound unique. I love this Mini Album a lot.
MY FAVE SONG: FULL METAL JACKET would be my favourite. The guitars are amazing to listen to. It gives of such a rock vibe that I am gonna be listening to for a long time. And the vocals sound great.
MY LEAST FAVE: I literally do not have one I love all these songs so much lol.
And that concludes this review. I realise I mostly review K-pop as that is the genre I really pay attention to on what has been released but please, if any of you have a release you are excited for, or one that has come out recently please let me know. I’m contactable via my email: proffessor.nutkins1388@gmail.com or my Facebook which is Proffessor Nutkins Blog or Proff Nutkins, as well as a comment on this exact post.
Please share the music you love as I love to hear about it all!
Have a day!

Here's a GIF from the iconic TOMBOY by (G)I-DLE. I beg of you to listen to this. This song is the reason I found K-pop and stayed. It is SO good.
